Free, from public records

Check your domain now

Type the domain you print on your sign. We read the registry's own record, public DNS and your home page, then show you what a customer and a domain reseller can both see. Nothing is stored.

What we fix

Three ways a domain goes wrong

Someone else owns your name

A domain that lapses gets grabbed within seconds by automated resellers, who park it with ads and wait for you to buy it back. Meanwhile every old flyer, directory listing and search result still points at it. We find out who holds it and what they want, tell you plainly whether it is worth paying, and fix the listings and links that still send people to the dead address. Often the fix is cheaper than the ransom.

Your site shows an error page

"Website unavailable," "account suspended," a blank page, or a certificate warning. Usually the hosting bill lapsed, the plan expired, or a plugin broke the site. We find the cause, get the site back up, and tell you what to change so it stays up. If the host is the problem, we can move you somewhere that costs less and does not expire.

Your renewal is coming up

Most lost domains are lost in the off-season, when a renewal email lands and nobody is reading. If your domain renews in the next couple of months, we check that auto-renew is on, the card on file is current, and the contact email still reaches a human. Ten minutes now; no drama in February.

Pricing

Flat rates for farms, independents and small businesses

$150 flat, per fix

Get a site back online, fix a bad redirect, correct the directory listings that point at a dead domain, or set up renewals properly. Done within two business days of getting access. If we look and there is nothing to fix, there is no charge.

$99 a year

Keep it online: hosting, the SSL certificate, your domain renewal, and a watch on the expiry date so a lapsed card never costs you the name. Same price as our website care plan, because it is the same thing.

$500 one-page site

For a farm, a stand, a tavern or a seasonal business that needs hours, directions, prices and a phone number that work on a phone. Your domain in your name, the site yours to keep. Bigger sites start at $895.

Prices are for Northeast Ohio small businesses. Buying a domain back from a reseller, if you choose to, is paid to them directly; we do not take a cut.

How we work

No passwords, and your email keeps working

  • We never ask for a password. Registrars and hosts let you add us as a delegate with limited access, and you remove us when the job is done.
  • Before any DNS change we record your existing mail and verification records, and we confirm your email still works before we call it finished.
  • Your domain stays registered in your name. If you ever want to leave, you take it with you.
  • Two people in Cleveland do the work, and one of us answers the phone.

Common questions

Someone else owns a domain that looks like mine. Can I get it back?

Sometimes. If it was yours and it lapsed, the new owner is usually a reseller who will sell it back, often for a few hundred dollars. We will tell you honestly whether it is worth paying or whether it is cheaper to fix the listings and links that still point at the old name. Buying it back is your call; we do not take a cut.

Do you need my passwords?

No. GoDaddy, Cloudflare, Google and most registrars let you add us as a delegate or member with limited access, which you can remove the moment the job is done. We never ask for a password and we will not accept one.

Can fixing my domain break my email?

It can, if someone changes nameservers without copying the mail records first. That is the one real risk in this kind of work, so we record your existing mail and verification records before touching anything and confirm your email still works before we call it done.

What does the $99 a year cover?

Keeping the site online: hosting, the SSL certificate, your domain renewal, and a watch on the expiry date so a lapsed card never costs you the name. Bigger changes or new pages are quoted separately.

Is the free check safe to run?

Yes. It reads public records only: the registry's own registration record, public DNS, and whether your home page loads. Nothing is stored, and nothing is sent anywhere except back to your browser.

Got a heads-up from us?

If you are here because we emailed you about your domain, the check above is what we ran. Reply to that email, or call or text, and tell us what you would like done. If the answer is nothing, that is fine too.
