Human Advantage
Pick the target before you optimize
AI is relentless at improving whatever you point it at. Pointing it at the right thing is still entirely your job.
Before asking AI to improve anything, finish this sentence in writing: "This is successful if ___." Make it observable — "more replies from good-fit customers," not "better." Only then hand over the optimizing.
Why it works
Optimization amplifies its target, including a wrong one — faster email that damages a relationship, a sharper pitch to the wrong buyer. Naming the target is the judgment call machines don't own.
