Revise in rounds, not one giant prompt
Two short rounds of draft-and-feedback usually beat one elaborate mega-prompt.
Round one: a short brief, get a draft. Round two: give three specific reactions — "keep the opening, cut the third paragraph, the tone drifts formal at the end" — and get a revision. Stop when your notes get small.
Why it works
You learn what you want by seeing what you don't. Rounds let that learning into the process; a mega-prompt locks in guesses you made before you'd seen anything.
Watch out
If round three still misses, the problem is often the brief, not the model. Go back and say what the thing is for.
