Think Better
Ask for the assumptions
Before you accept an AI recommendation, make it show you the load-bearing assumptions underneath.
Before I accept this recommendation: list the assumptions your answer depends on. Which are least certain, and how would the recommendation change if each were wrong?
Why it works
Assumptions often hide inside fluent prose. Making them explicit turns an answer into something you can inspect.
Watch out
Do not mistake a generated list of assumptions for a verified list. Check the important ones.
For example
A vendor-selection memo listed 'current pricing holds through Q4' as its shakiest assumption — one phone call showed it was already wrong, and the ranking flipped.
